　　用于水处理活性炭一般分为以下几类：

　　粉状活性炭：一般用木屑、煤为原料，经炭化、活化、磨粉等工艺制成，主要应用于静态吸附操作(间歇式操作)处理给水除臭、除味以及规模较小的工业或城市污水处理。

　　颗粒活性炭：按不同的材质可分为椰壳活性炭、果壳活性炭和煤质活性炭。
